1st Annual Dave & Faye Mega-Walk

Mark it down on your calendars for next year, because the 1st Annual Dave & Faye Mega-Walk, held August 18th 2007, was a thing of beauty.

The walk officially began at 11AM on the corner of 77th and Greenwood and wrapped up some five hours later at Le Pitchet, 1933 1st Ave.

Two breaks are required on the Mega-Walk: Lunch at Paseo (a no-brainer really) and refreshing drinks on the top of Queen Anne hill.

Celebratory wine and cheese is a must at Le Pichet while you plot your return home. We took the bus.

See you next year, third Saturday in August... 11AM sharp!

Band Trivia Update - Identify 270 Bands XLS and More

Band Trivia

Since the original post I've gotten a whole slew of requests for this file and thankfully a friend of mine found the website that it came from. Without further ado, here are the links to the XLS, its answer key, and a challenging solo artist quiz too.

Bad UI at the Seattle Art Museum

Bad UI at Seattle Art Museum

For a brand new, major metropolitan museum, this is embarrassing.

There were many more examples, but photography in the museum is frowned upon.

Super Mario Bros. Telephone Pole In Post-Its

Super Mario Post-It Pole

Brad and I stumbled upon this mini-scene from Super Mario Bros. right in front of the Art Institute. Tons of post-its strategically stapled to a telephone pole. No doubt the work of some 8-bit savvy students.

Click here for a few more pics.

Itsa Me! I Finished Super Paper Mario

Super Paper Mario

I'm a total sucker for Mario titles and Super Paper Mario didn't let me down. The 2-D to 3-D flipping was lots of fun and although it was pretty easy, I enjoyed every minute of it.

But now flat Mario has left a gaping void in my soul which desperately needs filling. With what though? Pokémon Diamond perhaps?

It's in my DS, and with only 20 Pokémon in my Pokédex and a level 21 Monferno at the top of that heap, it looks like I've got a long way to go in Sinnoh.

This is just plain awesome. Not only did I get a copy of WarioWare: Smooth Moves for winning Kottke's Celebrity Mii Contest... I also got a one of a kind Zach Braff Celebrity Mii sculpture from Fabjectory.com. Simply awesome!

Many thanks again to Jason Kottke and Mike at Fabjectory.com!

My Zach Braff Mii Wins Kottke’s Celebrity Mii Contest!

Zach Braff Mii in Garden State

Find my Miis on Nintendo's Check Mii Out Channel.

Holy Crap! I'm shocked and thrilled that my very own Zach Braff Mii was selected as the winner of Jason Kottke's Celebrity Mii contest!

I'm so shocked and thrilled that I photoshopped my Zach Braff Mii into a Garden State still. Now that's some good times right there.

Who knew that watching Scrubs for however many years would ever have a tangible benefit?!? I can't wait to see the 3D model from Fabjectory, I know it'll be super cool. I'll post some pics of it for sure.

Thanks to the judges for choosing my ZBMii from the many outstanding Miis... and a very special thanks to Zach Braff for having such a huge lower lip.

WOOHOO!
