Gilmore Girls 2006 Season Finale Troubadour Breakdown
Flooding Stars Hollow with troubadours looking for their big break was somewhat annoying, but it was really nice to see Sonic Youth on TV. And it gave Grant-Lee Phillips' town troubadour character a few good lines.
"The big time? I made seven hundred bucks and got booed. And I never even met Neil Young. Heart of Gold — my ass."
I'm going to cut right to the chase here and not mention anything else about the episode... like squirm inducing British accents.
Thurston Moore, Kim Gordon, and the adorable Coco Gordon Moore

Mary Lynn RajSkub (24's Chloe) singing about her lost '89 Volvo

Yo La Tengo

Dan Palladino — one of the show's creators — singing "A Beaver Ate My Thumb" accompanied by Brian Zydiak and Dave Rygalski

I have no idea who this guy is... do you?

The last guy looks like Dave Gruber Allen. He’s an actor who has starred in things like Freaks & Geeks. He’s appeared in Gilmore Girls as well.

January 29th, 2007 at 1:05 amI was led here tonight because “A Beaver Ate My Thumb” kept going through my head. That’s Palladino, eh?
GG was a brilliant show, though that was probably the last good episode. Daniel and Amy Sherman-Palladino, the writer/creators left right after this.
That was actually Sparks?
